NEW YORK (CBS)Lil Wayne, the Grammy-winner, fresh from Rikers, is facing a paternity suit filed by a grandmother.

According to TMZ, a woman of Missouri served the hip-hop hitmaker containing documentation on August 20, while the rapper served time for gun costs.

The grandmother of a 8-year-old boy claims Lil Wayne, who has admitted fathering four children fathered her grandson in 2002.

The court order filed by the wife requires the artist "Young Money" to submit to a DNA test for 10 september 2010, but since he was behind bars when he received the letter, the judge pushed the deadline until 9 december, says TMZ.

The woman that the suit filed against Lil Wayne did not say why her daughter is not pursuing the successful rapper itself, nor is it mentioned in the legal documents.

The 28-year-old rapper was recently released from the New York City Riker Island complex, after pleading guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in October 2009.
