New Michael Jackson Song "break" on radio

"Breaking News," a sample track from Michael Jackson's upcoming album "Michael," receive instant airplay on more than 150 radio stations on Monday, November 8, after its premiere on Jackson's website.

The song appears on the King of pop the first posthumous album of original material, as a result of 14 december on Epic Records. the cut will stream for a week on Jackson's site, where "Michael" is now available for pre-order.

According to industry tracker Nielsen sampled 151 U.S. stations "Breaking News" yesterday in formats ranging from pop and R&B/hip-hop to adult, rock and oldies. The song received 246 plays in the first day of availability and reached an estimated 2.2 million listeners.

Taxi Productions run Adult R&B panelist KJLH/Los Angeles played "Breaking News" once yesterday. "Listener reaction was very mixed," said program director Terri Thomas. "Going forward, I don't think the song is a hit.I think it's a novelty.

"People miss Jackson, but it's hard to compete with its classics and legacy," said Thomas.

Inner City Adult R&B reporter WBLS/New York also played "Breaking News", a time yesterday, removal of the audio of Jackson's site."Our afternoon host, Egypt, played the number of listeners and was immediately flooded with calls and texts constitute a mixed reaction," said program director Skip Dillard.
